Ivyleaf Cottage Holidays runs a Camping and Caravanning Club CS site. We are licensed to take up to ten tents and five touring vans at any one time on our two acre site, so you can be assured the site will be lightly populated and welcoming. We are a members only site but you are welcome to join either online via the link from the menu above or on arrival. Membership costs from just £37 per annum for two adults and up to four children and the benefits are substantial. Details can be found via the link.

Our site has a tiered layout, camping pitches are mainly dispersed on the lower tiers (to minimise exposure to the less hospitable elements should they arise) and our caravan pitches are arranged with four on our upper tier and one on the mid tier of our site. Our tent pitches are all quite secluded and are interspersed with hedging to help ensure privacy wherever possible.

Access to our upper pitches is via a short but quite steep slope, during wet weather those towing with two two wheel drive vehicles can sometimes find this a little challenging so we also have an alternative access route on a gently sloping gravel road which can be used on these occasions.

There are many drinking water supply points around the site. All pitches are serviced grass pitches usually with water supply and electric hook-up very close by.

Our facilities area, comprises of two composting toilet huts and two shower huts arranged around a central decked area. There are also two basins for customers to use as required. We have chosen to use composting toilets as we wanted to reduce our demand on the local water system. These have proven very successful and work without issue or any unpleasant odours.

When we go away we love to explore the local area especially the farm shops and produce providers.

If you do as well you will love the area. There are a multitude of local farms and farm shops providing local produce direct from the producer waiting to be discovered by guests. There are fresh free range eggs at just about every turn and a nice farm shop in Kilkhampton just a mile and a half away.

However if you fancy getting your feet up straight away why not save yourself the trouble of having to go shopping at the outset of your stay and pre-order your Tesco/Waitrose/Sainsburys delivery to arrive shortly after you do?

If you prefer to see before you buy there is a Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Co-op and Lidl supermarkets in Bude just a few miles away as well and a Waitrose in Holsworthy.

The toilets are emptied and cleaned on a daily basis along with the showers to ensure a pleasant environment for guests. Many of the pitches have great views across the valley and beyond and all are set in pleasant grassed environements surrounded by a lot of trees and hedges.

New for 2016 we will be expanding our childrens play area to include a Little Tikes play castle, in addition to our existing childrens play van (repurposed classic caravan now functioning as somewhere for our yournger guests to call their own, full of indoor and outdoor toys and games) .

There is a good mobile signal on 02, Vodafone, EE and most other mobile networks, 3G/4G is available on the 3 Network and possibly others but cannot be confirmed at all times

It is not uncommon to hear and see our local neighbours which include owls, buzzards, deers, pheasants rabbits and foxes to list a few, in and around the site! Something which our younger guests often delight in.
