Ivyleaf Cottage is situated just a few miles outside of Bude on the upper slopes of a pleasant countryside valley. To the front of the cottage are far reaching views across the valley and on for some twenty miles distant across to Brown Willy on Bodmin Moor, the highest point in Cornwall.

The Cottage is an attached four bedroom property. All bedrooms are doubles (one with twin beds) and the two larger rooms also feature an en-suite shower, toilet and wash basin. The other two bedrooms share the main bathroom which has a bath, shower, toilet and basin.

Downstairs the cottage is a spacious open plan L-shape lounge, diner and kitchen. The lounge features comfy sofas and coffee tables (the log burner is only decorative), the dining area offers seating for eight around a substantial table. The kitchen is cottage style and includes a large Belfast sink along with ample worktop space for preparing meals as well as a dishwasher for cleaning up after enjoying them. For those that like to cook you will be very much at home here, there is a seven ring range cooker with which to prepare the families feast as well as a fridge and freezer.

Heating and hot water for the cottage is provided by our wood pellet boiler which is situated in a boiler room that is external to the cottage. The shower in the main bathroom is electric so as to provide contingency should there ever be any issue with the supply of hot water. Heating for the downstairs of the cottage is provided by way of under floor heating beneath the slate floor tiles and upstairs is provided by way of radiators.

There is a laundry room which guests may use in a separate outbuilding.

The cottage is fully equipped for our self catering guests including those with infants and children, a full inventory is available on request and please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.

The cottage has a TV with freeview, blu-ray/DVD player, Bluetooth speaker system and wifi/internet throught the cottage. There is a good mobile signal on 02, Vodafone, EE and most other mobile networks, 3G/4G is available on the 3 Network and possibly others but cannot be confirmed at all times. There is a laser printer/scanner/fax which can be made avaialble to guests with business needs.

We are happy for guests to bring up to two small to medium sized dogs (as long as they are over one year old and house trained). The cottage has a fenced in front garden which can accommodate small dogs off the lead but on all other occasions it is imperative that dogs are kept on a lead whilst on site and outside of the cottage. This is because we have two Springer spaniels and two cats of our own on site, as well as potentially other caravanning and camping guests and their pets. If your dogs have an issue with cats, other dogs or people we would kindly ask that you make provision to put them in kennels whilst staying with us. There is a good local facility if you prefer to keep them nearby but not in the cottage itself. Full details are available on request.

We can also provide a medium sized dog cage and dog washing/drying facilities as needed to ensure that wet pets are not taken into the cottage. No dogs are allowed upstairs or on the furniture in the cottage at any time please.

Child/Dog sitting/walking service available upon request, price based on requirement.

For those budding master chefs amoung you, there is a Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Co-op located in Bude and a Waitrose in Holsworthy just eight miles down the road.

However if like us you prefer to try and keep those food miles down we are surrounded by some amazing local growers and producers with an excellent farm shop only a mile or so away and a multitude of local farms producing their own meat and dairy products for sale to the public.

Additionally we have a small allotment on site and during the season can sometimes offer guests our own home grown fruit and vegetables. Can't  reduce the food miles much more than that:-)
